Membership Rates
STC recently redesigned its membership structure to include several new categories of membership, each of which offers a different value to members. Before joining, please scroll down and read the descriptions of Classic Membership, Limited Membership, E-membership, and Student Membership on this page.
"Classic" Membership

 
Publications
Paper copies of Intercom and Technical Communication, and access to the online versions.
Communities
Members choose between:
  • 1 chapter and 1 SIG, or
  • 3 SIGs
Additional SIGs available for $5 each; additional chapters for $10 each.
Voting Privileges
Yes
Cost (in USD)
U.S. members: $160.00 ($145 dues + $15 enrollment fee)
Canadian members: $175.00 ($145 dues + $15 enrollment fee + $15 postage)
Overseas members: $195.00 ($145 dues + $15 enrollment fee + $35 postage)
Retired members:* $87.50 ($72.50 dues + $15 enrollment fee)
* To qualify, an individual must be retired and have been an STC member for at least 10 years. Retired members are not counted in the calculation of chapter rebate amounts.
"Limited" Membership
